Yamaha motors India just slammed the hot auto topic "Business tie up between Mahindra two Wheelers and Yamaha India" A lot of media was reporting that Mahindra and Mahindra was looking for a two wheeler business tie up with the Japanese automobile company Yamaha motors. But Yamaha motors denied the news.
Saying that Yamaha is committed towards the Indian market and they will be concentrating on capacity development, expansion of service networks and new products(Probably the premium scooter sector).
Here is what Yamaha Motor CEO & MD Mr. Hiroyuki Suzuki has said about the business tie up - "We are not looking for business partnership with any company. Our Mid-term plan is on track and we will be making sizeable investments for new product development, sales & service network strengthening and capacity expansion over the next few years."
Moreover Yamaha is targeting to increase the capacity to 10 lakhs units, which is currently 6 lakhs units per annum .
